​Please follow the directions provided on this page to ensure safe and legal access to Bull River Guest Ranch: East (Cranbrook), Southeast (Fernie) and, the West (Invermere / Radium / Golden).
From Cranbrook

From Cranbrook (Approx. 45 minutes)

1. Head northwest on Crowsnest Highway (BC-3 E) / BC-95 N from Cranbrook toward Fort Steele.

2. Continue on BC-3 E / BC-95 N for approximately 9 km (5.6 miles).

3. Merge right onto Kootenay Highway (BC-93 N / BC-95), following signs for Invermere / Radium / Golden, and continue for approximately 7 km (4.3 miles).

4. At the Fort Steele Esso, turn right onto Fort Steele / Wardner Road.

5. Follow Fort Steele / Wardner Road for approximately 22 km (13.7 miles).

6. Turn left onto Bull River Road.

Important Note:
Road signage will say “Bull River Road.”
Some maps (including Google Maps) may label this as Galloway Forest Service Road — this is the same road.

7. Continue straight on Bull River Road / Galloway Forest Service Road for approximately 15 km (9.3 miles).

8. You will pass the Bull River Mine on the left, then descend into a steep canyon and cross the Bull River Falls Bridge.

9. Just past the bridge, keep right at the Y-intersection.

10. Watch for yellow numbered logging kilometer (KM) signs along the road.

11. At KM 17 (10.6 miles), take the left-hand turn down into Bull River Guest Ranch.

From Fernie

From Fernie (Approx. 55 minutes)

1. Take Crowsnest Highway (BC-3 W) from Fernie toward Jaffray.

2. Turn right onto Wardner–Fort Steele Road and continue for approximately 8.3 km (5.2 miles).

3. Veer slightly right onto Bull River Road.

Important Note:
Road signage will say “Bull River Road.”
Some maps (including Google Maps) may label this as Galloway Forest Service Road — this is the same road.

4. Continue straight on Bull River Road / Galloway Forest Service Road for approximately 15 km (9.3 miles).

5. You will pass the Bull River Mine on the left, then descend into a steep canyon and cross the Bull River Falls Bridge.

6. Just past the bridge, keep right at the Y-intersection.

7. Watch for yellow numbered logging kilometer (KM) signs along the road.

8. At KM 17 (10.6 miles), take the left-hand turn down into Bull River Guest Ranch.

From Invermere / Radium / Golden

From Invermere / Radium / Golden (Approx. 1.5–2.5 hours, depending on starting point)

1. Travel south on Highway 93 / 95 toward Cranbrook / Fort Steele.

2. Continue on Highway 93 / 95 until you reach the Fort Steele Esso.

3. Turn left onto Fort Steele / Wardner Road.

4. Follow Fort Steele / Wardner Road for approximately 22 km (13.7 miles).

5. Turn left onto Bull River Road.

6. Continue straight on Bull River Road / Galloway Forest Service Road for approximately 15 km (9.3 miles).
